Girl Guide cookies! Full of trans fat! Bad for you! Wee children guilting you into buying!
And yup, I'll keep on buying every year, because I used to be that little kid, and a couple of bad cookies once a year won't kill you. Eat a salad after.
No way, not you again? Kidding. Yes, great cookies and the money goes to a good cause keeping the children off the streets and learning about how to be good citizens. What happens later in life is another story for another show.
Lol... I love those Cookies and the tradition, of the cutest little girls working hard alongside their Mothers, to raise funds for their troop. Hmmm.. good business sense, good role models, bonding with Mom and friends, handling money, responsibility.. and as for the cookies, it's one or two boxes of absolute yummy. Worth the once a year nosh on Trans Fat!
As long as they're not the mint ones... never liked them; bring on the vanilla. Now that I think about it, did I not read an article a while back that Dare were no longer manufacturing and packaging the cookies for the Guides...
Nah, they switched to Dare a few years back. And, I'm with you on the mint ones. The only true GG cookies are the boxes that used to have a row of chocolate and a row of white, and we would all fight over them.
Lorraine, I agree on the cookies but it is still worth a few bucks to see the smiles that they get when you say, "YES, I'll take a couple of boxes". There isn't price you can put on that no matter if they are Dare or not. Have a good show...
